Vanilla worth
waiting for.
Grade A bourbon vanilla pods, over 17cm long, plump and heavy with seed. Grown by family farmers in Uganda, hand-selected and packed in small batches.
Plump, aromatic,
and honestly grown.
Most supermarket vanilla is thin, dry and sold in twos. Ours is cured slowly on the farm until the pod is supple enough to wrap around your finger — that softness is the sign of oil, and oil is flavour.
Every batch is opened, smelled and sorted by hand before it is sealed. Anything short, split or dull goes back. What reaches you is the top of the harvest.
How to use themFour things we will not compromise on
Length
Nothing under 17cm leaves our table. Longer pods hold more seed and more oil, so you use fewer of them.
Cure
Sun-cured and conditioned slowly, the traditional way. No forced drying, no shortcuts to get to market early.
Source
Bought directly from Ugandan family smallholdings at a fair price, agreed before the harvest — not after.
Packing
Sealed in the UK in small batches so the pod that arrives is as soft as the day it was graded.

Every pod carries a family's name.
Vanilla is one of the most labour-intensive crops on earth. Each flower is pollinated by hand, in a single morning, once a year. The people who do that work deserve to be paid properly for it.
